Aloko House means the House of Light to give tribute to Compassion guided by the light of Wisdom. Wisdom is what we need in life for a self-aware, fruitful, happy life. And education is what we need to light this light.

In our journey to establish our self-sustaining Bodhisattva Elementary School in Nepal and elsewhere, we have first established our base in Pokhara Nepal. And with the Phase 1 renovation completed, we are ready to receive guests from outside of Nepal to conduct seminars, workshops, training sessions, classes, with the local communities to foster exchange of information and experience as well as, education!

As of July 20th, 2022, we have built by hand a Stupa Zen Garden out of stone, a driveway, a park lot for 2 cars, and a compassionate heart made out of pebbles. We have fixed-up our gardens by removing weeds and planted the seeds for vegetables. The spider-webs have been removed, and everything is clean and tidy ready to go. Here is a picture of where we started just 3 months ago when we signed the lease in the middle of April 2022. Renovation did not officially start until middle of May. Thank you for everyone who are helping to build this beautiful and wonderful house of Wisdom and Compassion!

We signed the lease for our interim school The Aloko House in Pokhara, Nepal. We named it Aloko House as The House of Light to give tribute to the light Wisdom can provide to our lives.

Here are some images of our school at the time of signing the lease. It is a 3 year lease of $1200 rent per month. The building has kitchen, classroom, dormitory, gardens, and a field. It needs renovation. The rent includes some vegetables and eggs provided monthly. We will stay here for 3 years to test run our system while working to garner more donations to move to an official site.

We will invite volunteers and students from Taiwan and Singapore to come visit our Aloko House for summer camp. It will be fun and fruitful. Thank you for your support.

我三月就要去尼泊爾買地，買房，招生了。 当地需要一個小學，尤其是窮人小學。教育可以改變人生，尤其是佛法教育培育健康快樂知足感恩的人格教育。 我們自己修行深受其益，如果再能改變其他人，從無明中走向智慧，了解人生是有价值的，多好啊！

I am going to Nepal to buy land, a building, and recruit students in March. The local area needs an elementary school, especially an elementary school for the poor. Education can change life, especially Dharma education cultivates a healthy, happy, content and grateful personality through education. Our own practice has greatly benefited. If we can change other people, move from ignorance to wisdom, and understand that life is valuable, how great!
